Our medical system isn’t set up to make proactive healthcare easy on you. (Big shocker, I know.)
Doctors don’t have a lot of training in women’s health, particularly as it relates to hormones and perimenopause.
Unfortunately, because of the way our medical system works, you HAVE to advocate for yourself. But to advocate for yourself most effectively, you have to be informed.
You need to know that you’re asking the right questions. Furthermore, you need to be asking those questions to the right practitioner.
If you’re a woman 40+, I’m sure you have questions about your body. You may be wondering if what you’re feeling is normal. You may wonder if you’re old habits are setting you up for a healthy second half of life. Or you just may be sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.
You’re not alone!
Common Questions About Perimenopause
- What has happened to my metabolism?
- Should I walk or lift weights to fight belly fat?
- Will I ever get a good night’s sleep again?
- Is it normal to feel like I’m riding a hormonal rollercoaster?
- Is there a way to feel more balanced without taking prescription drugs?
- When will I feel like myself again?
Do any of those questions sound familiar? If so, you’re not alone!
And as a fact-seeking, action-taking woman, you want to ask these questions– and others– so you can be the healthiest you possible!
The reality is, there are some dirty words in women’s health. Talking about the decade leading up to menopause and what many women experience is taboo. Even discussing that there are changes in midlife isn’t a welcome conversation. Heck, even admitting that by age 40 a woman is in midlife receives a cold response.
But I’m not okay with sticking my head in the sand, and you shouldn’t be either. I know you’re probably frustrated because quality information about perimenopause can be hard to find. Have you ever tried to do your own research and just wound up more confused than when you started?
You’re not alone!
I created Survive & THRIVE Perimenopause, a six-week online, interactive course because I found many of my health coaching clients asking these same common questions about perimenopause. And when I could help them find answers, they felt validated and empowered.
I also found that a lot of women don’t even know what questions to ask….or to whom to ask them. And finding high-quality, easy-to-understand information is challenging.Think of me as your guide as you journey through uncharted territory…a resource who can help you connect the dots.
As a health coach, my job is to educate. I also listen, and I can ask a lot of questions. Together we can dig into how you can navigate this changing time and feel your best.
Survive & THRIVE Perimenopause will help you answer common questions about perimenopause. Even better, working through the course and the specially-designed workbook will allow you to discover what questions YOU have for YOUR body and life. And once you know what questions to ask, you’re well on your way to getting the best, most accurate answers possible.
